Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This policy explains what information Walker Home Pros collects through walkerhomepros.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. Walker Home Pros is a home inspection business operated by Matt Walker, serving Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba, and Yolo counties in California.

Information you give us

When you request an inspection, the form asks for:

  • your name and email address, and optionally your phone number;
  • the property address and county;
  • the property type, approximate square footage, and (for mobile or manufactured homes) the layout;
  • anything you choose to write in the message box; and
  • your agreement to be contacted about the request.

If you call or email Matt directly, we receive whatever you share in that conversation.

How we use it

We use your information only to respond to your request: to contact you, confirm the scope, availability, and price of an inspection, schedule it, and keep reasonable business records. We do not sell or rent your information, add you to a marketing list, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Submitting the form does not book an appointment. Matt will contact you to confirm the details.

Where it is stored and who can see it

Inspection requests are saved privately in the website’s WordPress database, hosted by Bluehost, and a copy is emailed to Matt’s business mailbox. Only the site administrator can view saved requests. Our hosting provider stores this data on our behalf and keeps routine backups.

Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)

The request form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which checks in the background whether a submission comes from a person or an automated program. When you submit the form, reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page and sends it to Google, and Google may set cookies. Your form answers are not sent to Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

To limit abuse, the site also temporarily records a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for about ten minutes to cap the number of requests sent in a short period.

Website services, statistics, and security

The site uses Jetpack, a service from Automattic, for security, backups, faster image delivery, and basic visit statistics (for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived). To provide these, Automattic processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy. Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and requested pages, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell visitor data. On your first visit, a cookie notice lets you accept or decline visit statistics. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not accepted, Jetpack visit statistics are not loaded. Do Not Track browser settings are also honored. We remember your choice for 12 months in a small cookie named whp_cookie_choice, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Security features and Google reCAPTCHA are needed for the site and request form to work, so declining statistics does not turn them off. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if that stops the request form from working, please call or email Matt instead.

How long we keep it

We keep inspection requests and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you, provide any inspection, and meet business, tax, and legal record-keeping needs. Requests that do not lead to an inspection are deleted periodically. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time until those backups are replaced.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, except where we need to keep it for legal or business records. California residents may have additional rights under state law. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging home inspections. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the website or our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
